Easter Basket Card

Supplies

  • 6” x 12”mulberry scrapbook cardstock-natural
  • 3” x 6”Debbie Mumm wicker weave scrapbook paper
  • 30” Paper Twist –kraft (DMD Industries - Paper Reflection line)
  • Keepsake Shaker Box Kit – large yellow oval (DASA Industries )
  • Chocolate bunny box (Jolee’s by You – EK Success)
  • Quatros rubber stamps (Hero Arts)
  • 3” x 4” white cardstock
  • Dot Pattern rubber stamp (Hero Arts)
  • Micro beads – any color (Art Accents)
  • Assorted pastel ink pads
  • Easter confetti and cut up pieces of iridescent cellophane
  • Sparkle Shred (Easter grass) green
  •  Six Stamp Art Pop Dots (All Night Media)
  • Heiko tape
  • Terrifically Tacky Tape- ¼” wide (Art Accentz)
  • Vellum tape (Scotch)
  • 6” x 11½” lavender vellum (Paper Accents)
  • 24” sheer 1”lavender ribbon
  • MonoAqua glue (Tombo)
  • Floral border punch (Fiskar)
  • Scissors
  • Ruler

Directions

  1. Fold the cardstock in half to make a 6” x 6” card blank.
  2. Rubber stamp on top layer of shaker box oval using the Quatros rubber stamps and pastel inks. Stamp dot pattern on 3” x 4” white cardstock using pastel inks. Trace and cut out oval shape from the dot printed cardstock piece.
  3. Assemble shaker box according to package directions, filling it with the confetti, beads, and bits of cellophane.
  4. Cut out basket shape from wicker weave paper by rounding off bottom corners and cutting a slight curve on the top. Attach basket to blank card with Heiko tape on the sides and bottom, and double layered pop dots placed about midway across basket.
  5. Fold the paper twist in thirds so that it is 10” long and twist it into a handle. Attach the handle to the basket with two small pieces of tacky tape at the ends. Tie the ribbon onto the basket handle and with tacky tape attach it to the card.
  6. Adhere the chocolate bunny box and oval shaker box to the card with tacky tape being sure to attach only the bottoms of the boxes. Add sparkle shred to the basket.
  7. Fold the vellum in half and punch out borders with border punch. Attach vellum to card with vellum tape.

Tips

  1. Tuck money in the basket for your favorite child or grandchild.
  2. Send the card to a scrapbooker for use on an Easter page layout.
